What can we say about this scooter, well its probably the lightest we have seen for this size battery for a start. The build quality is really impressive as well. These are easily Xiaomi killers.
If you are looking for a scooter that will replace your car on a standard commute, this is definitely a contender. If its to replace the bus, then its a forgone conclusion. Your travel time will no doubt be quicker once you factor in the walk to the bus stop, or sat in your car in traffic trying to find a parking space. Charging takes around 5 hours from flat and costs between 10-20p per charge.
Due to the small footprint of the navee N40 it can easily be folded and stored indoors rather than taking the risk of leaving it out on the pavement like a bike to be taken. Equally at 15KG it is very easy to carry the scooter once folded. The Navee N40 has been balanced exceptionally well so that it is very easy to carry with one hand, or indeed with a strap over the shoulder.
Offering a 40KM range at 25kmh (25 miles/ 15pmh) it draws a direct comparison with a Xiaomi Pro 2. However improved folding hinge, lighter weight and a more refined design in general. Navee have chosen to use the 10″2.125 tyre which also gives a smoother ride. The navee N40 comes with a punchy 350W motor that gets up to full speed in a matter of seconds. Front and rear lights as you’d expect are bright and work with the brake to let other road users know what you are doing.
The Navee N40 also has a disk brake and automatic E-brake that is regenerative which will help with range. This works when you pull the brake lever and makes the motor act as a brake, at the same time it generates electricity from the resistance and feeds this back into the battery.
Uniquely the N40 unlike any other scooter we have seen has a secondary battery safe more, if the scooter has not seen a charger in 7 days it will shut down fully to protect the battery. To take it out of safe mode simply plug the charger in for a few minutes, then hay presto it will power back on.
A little bit about Navee. Navee was a company that has risen up in china from some of the designers of the Xiaomi M365 product range. They are using the same factories to produce their scooters as Xiaomi to ensure best in industry reliability and quality. As with all our scooters, we do not ship due to various issues in the past with fraud and transit damage. Customers have on occasion put scooters together incorrectly with is a concern for us as we like to make sure you are safe. Part of our service is that we will put the scooter together for you, check everything is how it should be and dispose of the box/polystyrene as well as offer great customer service by showing you how to use the scooter in a safe manner.
